This is the smallest of Drueke's classic walnut and maple chessboards. This solid wood chessboard is made of walnut and maple squares that interlock perfectly. The precise quality of these boards is definitely hard to match. There is a 1.5" walnut perimeter with beveled edges. Between the perimeter and the squares is an 1/8-inch groove finishing the board in style. To confirm the high quality and craftsmanship in manufacturing this chessboard, it can be inverted and played using the underside with noticeable matching quality. This board has a fine furniture finish.
