About this product

This is the second largest of Drueke's classic walnut and maple chessboards. This solid wood chessboard is made of walnut and maple squares that interlock perfectly. The precise quality of these boards is definitely hard to match. There is a 2.5" walnut perimeter with beveled edges. Between the perimeter and the squares is an 1/8" groove finishing the board in style. To confirm the high quality and craftsmanship in manufacturing this chess board, it can be inverted and played using the underside with noticeable matching quality, as it is not made of veneer, but solid blocks of wood! This board has a fine furniture finish.
