Classic 3 3/4" Collector design. Premium chess set with a nice, mellow style. Since the beginning of 2009, the quality has not been superb as it was in 2008 and prior. The collector will notice small blemishes, mold marks, or other very small inconsistencies, but to the average player, it's a very nice set.

The set ships standard with four (4) Queens and weighs 52 ounces (excluding the extra two Queens). Pieces have real green felt on bottom.

This is a very nice plastic copy of a well known design.

The weights are secure and heavy

Con:
The black pieces have a tendency for cracking at the base. I would recommend to keep super glue handy for repair.

Pieces are hollow. For the price I expected for them to be solid.

With in two weeks my queen and bishop have already cracked.

***Weights are lead. These may not be choice to use to teach young kids who like to stick fingers and things in their mouth.
