At first it's easy to confuse the pawns and bishops but it takes getting used to. Soon enough, it's automatic to see which is which. I'm very happy with this product. I can leave the formations just the way they are without worrying about setting the board over again and again.

Very good as a  chess book companion. Especially good for a bad memory person like me. However the chessboard printing was bad. The black color printing is easily scratched to reveal the lighter square color of the background.

Good Set for the Price August 6, 2012

I carry the set in my Backpack. I wrap it in a t-shirt with 2 rubber band to keep the case from scratching. The set is just the right size(small enough to carry but big enough to see). The board is painted on so I guess it will eventually scratch and the magnets on the bottom of the pieces come off from time to time. The magnets can be easily glued_x000D_

Nice set but easy to confuse pawn/bishop March 10, 2012

Pretty nice set.  Can be closed and stuffed into a backpack midgame.  The pieces don't move accidentally.  My only complaint is that the pawns and bishops are the same height, and both have points on top.  The bishops have a larger base, but that's pretty subtle. I may end up filing or sanding the tops of the pawn to round them out and distinguish them from bishops.
