The outback of Australia beckons--this Aborigines theme chess set is a exceptional example of diversity in chess sets! Hailing from the deserts and wild lands of the huge island of Australia, this chess set captures some of the native imagery and character. From the kangaroos to the boomerangs, this set reminds instantly of the wild and still untouched lands in the great Outback.

With identical pieces, the bases denote sides; white vs black is the color theme underneath the little men. The ranks represent sturdy warriors, hardened to all conditions and privations; knights represented by kangaroos bring a whole new meaning to the 'hop' of the knight! The king and queen head up the army of the Outback, and lend their minds to the goal at hand; bring in the enemy chief!

These finely made chess sets are made of poly-resin plastic. Each piece is hand-painted using long lasting, lead-free paint. These pieces are not recommended for children below 10 years of age since they will break if dropped or played with roughly.
