The Cops enforce the law with a very prominent police badge functioning as the castles! 8 well-dressed and firm policemen take the place of the pawns, and are just itching to get their hands on the ranks of mischief facing them across the chess board! The 'paddy wagon', or Cop car sits calmly in the knight's position, waiting for it's cargo to head to the station with. The bishops sport undercover policemen, and the king and queen command the set quite nicely; the king is the chief, and the queen is the local police inspector!

For the Robbers of this chess set, very large money bags(why do they always print a "$" on the outside of the bags, doesn't that make it easier to know what to take!) dominate the corners; can you imagine capturing your opponent's king with a money bag? I can just hear the cries of 'foul' emanating from the room, followed by, "you bought my chief off!" Either way, it's sure to be fun! The 8 toughs in the front ranks appear well matched for any deed of illegal nature; with their slouch hats low on the head, and rough brown sweaters, they certainly ought to match the police profiles. The get-away car takes the place of the horse--after all, it should be a lot faster, and when you're in that business, you've got to be fast! The local crime kingpins represent the bishops, and the head of them all, maybe an 'Al Capone' rests as their king. The queen is a double-sided lady; probably a night-club entertainer, yet she also has her part of the hold-ups!
