9.5" checkers are sized perfectly for any hard surface or foldup mat. Slide them with your feet, or use the six metal poles to help you move the pieces and stack the checkers during play!

If you already own the giant chess and mat, you can just add giant checkers! Recommended is the 9' nylon mat (see accessories). Yes any mat with 12" to 18" squares will work great. In fact you can lay your own playing surface of tile, concrete, or just get creative!

All That I Could Have Asked For! December 16, 2009

I bought this and the nylon chessboard for an elementary Sunday School class.  We adhered the names of Jesus' ancestors on the checkers.  As the kids moved the checkers, they had to call out the ancestor's name (for example: Hezekiah should jump Noah).  The kids LOVED it!  Parents LOVED it!  And, the kids actually learned the names of many of the ancestors by the end of the class.  It was FABULOUS
