A beveled ridge holds the lower edge of the chess board and it simply tilts back against the wall with enough angle to be all but earthquake proof. The shelf mounting is made easy with a clever, slide out backplate. The light lacquer furniture finish can be kept dust free with a soft, dry cloth. A design by Chess House that's friendly for families and the environment.

For almost 200 years, in rural Pennsylvania, this family has a rich heritage of woodworking and farming. Originally from Switzerland, precision wood working skills were passed down through five generations. This is intended as constructive criticism, as such I will not pull my punches. This is an attractive idea, however it is limited to ONLY boards of 21" or smaller. What about people who have boards that are much BIGGER -- boards with 2.5" or 2.75" squares plus a boarder of 2- 3 inches on each side?!? The asking cost -- even on "SALE" -- of this "hardwood display shelf" can not be justified: With
