Our puppy assassinated a rook so I wanted large, heavy metal pieces, and these hit the mark. They are solid. The squares on the board that I made are 1.75” and it barely accommodates them. If your board has 1.5” squares it will be too tight. 2” squares will be spacious. I wouldn’t change anything about these pieces. Highly recommended.
