The Marine chess set pieces, with their carriage and uniforms are a sight for sore eyes! The front ranks of the chess set are composed of sturdy soldiers holding their favorite weapon to their side and standing at attention. Seeing such opposition is a sight not to be envied! The front ranks of soldiers wear the camouflage green fatigues proudly, and present a varied picture with the official military dress of the officers behind them. The bishops flank the 'king' and 'queen', and altogether make a fine display of the pride and form of the US Marines. Capable of carrying over a hundred men and even nuclear armaments, the submarine can be a fearful and effective weapon indeed! The bishops represent naval divers, all geared up in underwater suits and helmets. Prepared for any mission from infiltration of an enemy base underwater to repairing the damaged hull, these men are the embodiment of 'intrepid'! Finally, the commanding officer, looking very much the Captain with the lady naval officer at his side, prepares to guide his men through all obstacles for the objective. Can he successfully capture the king?
