If you enjoy ancient battles and armies, this set will catch your attention. Brilliant coloring and lifelike poses really bring out the life in this metallic Egyptian and Roman theme set!

The famed Roman legion versus the chariots of Egypt, and the military prowess and traditions of the Roman Empire facing the might and power of the Egyptian armies. In this set you can choose the side and attempt to determine which empire was greater!

The Roman legionnaires and the Egyptian spearmen as pawns set off the front ranks. The columns of the Roman Forum represent the safety and wisdom of the Roman culture and are the rooks. Opposing and in a fitting position are the obelisks of Egypt. Then the knights, the Roman cavalry, with the horse waiting for the rider impatiently, and the Egyptian chariot horse waiting for his rider just as impatiently. The bishops are the commanders in the armies, with the Roman tribunes looking especially dapper in their full regalia. And finally, the kings and queens. The kings are naturally the Caesar versus the Pharoah, with their wives as the beautiful queens.

The Blue/Navy tone for the Romans sets off very nicely the tones for all the pieces; and the brown/flesh tone for the Egyptians fits very suitably their pieces as well!
