The Saemisch System against the King‘s Indian Defense occurs after 5.f3. There is something solid about the move (it protects the important squares e4 and g4) and something aggressive at the same time (it prepares g2-g4 and a kingside pawn storm). The ideas behind this system are easy to learn. The Catalan is one of the openings in which Black can indeed equalize easily, but often comes off second-best in the positional battle that follows. This is because the players of White have usually internalized the laws and plans of this opening better. GM Marin has carefully examined the variations of this opening, considering its details and the opening as a whole. This program, designed by experienced coaches and players in Russia, helps you study blunders in different openings (more 40 openings). Encyclopedia of Opening Blunders presents a table of contents on common openings and has over 1,250 instructive exercises of varying difficulty from practical games.
