International Shipping Advice

We understand how important it is for you to receive merchandise reliably. Shipping internationally is also expensive.

That's why we offer multiple options. You can choose the cost, speed, and reliability. Cost is very important, and generally the more you pay, the more reliable, trackable, and guaranteed it will be.

Generally, the less you pay, the slower it will arrive.

Choosing a non-trackable option is done so at your own risk because we can only guarantee shipment.

For best results, choose a tracking option such as:

Delivery time varies greatly by country. We simply ensure prompt, careful order processing of your order. In the event an item is lost, we try to offer assistance as possible.
Requirements for customers outside USA and Canada
  ChessHouse does business with many wonderful, friendly, and honest customers in over 100 countries.

To protect ourselves and legitimate customers from fraudulent purchasers, we have simple, and very effective credit card fraud protection measures in place. We prevent nearly 100% of fraud attempts so criminals don't waste time shopping here.

What you need to know if you pay with a credit card
  • If a fraud risk is determined, we will put the order on Pending status and investigate it immediately. Our fraud detection process may delay your order slightly, especially on first time orders, and to countries we deem "high risk".
  • It is likely that you will receive a "Credit Card Verification" email from ChessHouse requesting your reply.
  • We reserve the right to cancel and void credit card purchases that cannot be verified.
Many customers make smaller purchases to establish their account over time. Then it becomes easier to make larger credit card payments on your account.
Insurance
  Packages mailed internationally are not automatically insured if sent via USPS. While ordering, you may make a special written request to pay for additional insurance if it is available. We will manually assess and add the insurance fee to your order total.
What if there is a problem?
  Customers must contact Customer Care for instructions when any delivery problem occurs.

Returns and exchanges
All return and exchange shipping fees will be paid by the customer. Unless paid for separately as a new order, no exchanges will be mailed until the return has been received at ChessHouse.

Wrong items
If the wrong item was delivered, ChessHouse will cover the lesser of the return shipping fees up to but not greater than either the original shipping amount paid or the standard surface mail shipping cost determine by ChessHouse.

Defective products
Nearly all products are inspected or tested before shipping overseas. If a return or exchange is necessary, customer will pay for return shipping costs, and ChessHouse will pay for shipping of the replacement after the returned item is received.

Please create an account by clicking the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site. During signup we'll ask for your shipping address details including country. If your country is not in the dropdown menu of available countries, unfortunately we cannot ship to your country at this time.

When will my order ship and what are my shipping charges?
  Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices. We will ship your order shortly after we receive payment from you.

International orders may be subject to customs fees, import taxes, duties, or other fees imposed by your government. The Chess House does not charge these fees, and we have no control over the amount of the fees. All such fees are your responsibility, and are not included in the shipping charges quoted to you. Please contact your customs office for information about additional fees.
