Checkmate Ideas For Students, this chess book also is full of
diagrams to help young learners how to play the game, it is not nearly as long (it is 55 pages) or as extensive of training as chess tactics for students but gives you much of the same information, but doesn't drill the info home like chess tactics for students, like chess rules for students, chess tactics for students is very destructible.

This is the best single book on the endgame you could buy, Jeremy Silman is probably my favorite author for beginner chess books, he is concise and has a good understanding of the way beginning chess players think, which is one of the keys to his very successful writing career.
