About The JLP Walnut Maple Premium Hardwood Chess Table
Hand made in the U.S. by 5th generation wood craftsman John, this walnut and maple table is an entirely unique design with a real hardwood JLP chessboard playing surface.
The table is produce in two styles, one with an entirely maple perimeter and the other a blend of walnut and maple.
The table is uniquely design with a 21" JLP board as the playing surface. If you own the table, you will also have a fine chess board for use by itself.
Solid block construction means there are no veneers. It is walnut and maple throughout for a very sturdy piece of furniture that will last.

This table arrived in perfect condition. It is beautiful, well made, and looks much more expensive than it is. Just be prepared; there’s more assembly necessary than just attaching the legs, and it’s definitely a two person job. It takes two sets of arms to hold everything in place while pieces are put into position and fasteners are tightened. Once assembled, it’s sturdy and sleek, a perfect addition to our basement game room!
This is worth every penny. It is very high quality made by an extremely skilled woodworker. It's just awesome
Delivery took some time, 3.5 months, but it was well worth the wait. The quality of construction can only be described as superior. The craftsmanship is of the highest quality and attention to detail...spectacular. My chess table featuring the walnut and maple finish, to include the inlaid custom finishes is fabulous. A lovely and functional piece of furniture we are pleased to add to our home. The craftsmanship and execution are, hyperbole aside, perfect. A great design which someone put thought and execution to; decidedly not cobbled. Styling meshes well with our Contemporary/Mid-century Modern interior. The table arrived undamaged/unmarred thanks to having been carefully packaged and, as importantly, shipped via FedEx.....This will, I am certain become a generational legacy..
