This is a solid feeling plastic set of pieces. They feel substantial and handle very well.

A couple of Emisario sets to look at

I am putting up 2 different pics of the Emisario sets--- Black/Tan - Black/white.
I do have the brown pieces, but wanted to show these combinations on a SLATE/ Blue Flex mat.

For some reason( my bad photography likely) the TAN pieces still look a little yellow--BUT-- they are NOT AT ALL!
They are a very nice almost sand like color, and the SLATE /BLUE mat - is REALLY nice, it IS SOFTER when in hand, the blue is not bright
and the slate make the Black, White and Tan -- all standout -- so nicely!
I hope this helps -- this is a very nice combo to play on the Slate/Blue board

Excellent Pieces!

I’m absolutely satisfied with this set of pieces! Absolutely satisfied! I even purchased the brown /tan set. Pieces feel weighted. I also like the feel and size of the pawns and knights. All the other pieces are great too! Pieces look great with steel blue / Red flex pad boards (my opinion). The rooks are a tad bit tall in height, but still a good feel.
