Board games on Summer Road Trip
Our family is on a 2,500 mile road trip through six northwestern states. Here and there between all the excitement we pull out the chess sets or checker game and sit down for a while to play. As I write this, we're visiting with new friends in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Most of the time our three oldest, 9, 7, and 3 1/2, are biking state park trails, striking up conversations with fellow glampers (camping glamorous with electricity and other conveniences) or spotting birds, snakes, and coyotes along the bike path.
After all the excitement, the kids occasionally need to sit down and play games, usually in the evening. So they'll grab chess or checkers and we'll play each other.
Here's Abi with her very own pink and purple silicone chess set.
Here's the chess gear from Chess House for your summer road trip! With the many colors to choose from, you color combinations are nearly endless!
