Great Set!

First of all, this set was incredibly worth it. You can tell in the picture that the pieces are REALLY nice and if you scroll down you can see that they are triple-weighted too. And think about it! A 22 inch board and two nice cloth bags for free!
Delivery- The set came in 5 days because my house was on the opposite coast to the headquarters of Chess House. It was supposed to come in 7 days, and when I opened the package I found that there was a generous load of protection to the set.
The pieces are obviously new and are really great. I don't know if it's just me but I feel that the rooks are somehow heavier than the queens, kings, bishops, knights, etc....
Overall great deal, great set.

Scratches easily

Bought this as a package deal that came with a board and bag, as an additional set for our club. Would have bought the Ultimate Set, but the bulk of our players really dislike the butter yellow colored pieces. Weight is good, but the king is lighter than the king in the Ultimate Set. Mold and detailing leaves something to be desired, limited detail, and as others have pointed out, sharp crowns. The hard black plastic scratches easily; the entire set of black pieces arrived with numerous scratches which were easily visible, a big down check. Same scratches exist on the white pieces but are not as noticeable. Yes, they can be sanded down, but they will scratch again in your bag. Overall, our club members much prefer the Ultimate set, if only it were available with the white side in white or ivory instead of butter. Would not buy this set again.

Service:

Website is easy to navigate, purchase process is clean and easy. Items arrive quickly on the opposite coast and are well packed. One pet peeve: weights of the sets are sometimes expressed in decimal, other times in pounds/ounces. Consistency would make for easier comparison, and including weights in both metric (Kg/g) as well as U. S. Standard would be helpful. Once you receive your order, you will be hounded until you provide a review. One request for that is sufficient, I don't need more spam.
