DGT North American Chess Clock

As a public school, we order various items from vendors and sometimes their services are not the greatest. HOWEVER, we were very pleased with the quick, courteous and informational service we received from Chess House and the prompt delivery of the merchandise.

This was my first digital clock but I got used to it quickly. It has great build quality and looks very nice. I highly reccomend this gorgeous clock!

I own two Chronos clocks (the long, and the GX), the DGT 3000 (limited edition), and this one, the DGT North American.

I don't think you'll be disappointed if you go with this clock. It's a quality clock with many timing controls (some are preset, and others you set manually), and I personally think it's a great price point.

Look at the online manual (Chesshouse provides you with a link). Read pages 5-7 which describes all the timing functions. If you like what you see, then I would not hesitate. Again, it's a quality clock with lots of functionality.

Is it complicated, hard to use, hard to set? I have not found it to be difficult. I don't think most people would find it difficult.

If you're buying as gift for the chess player in your life, this is a great choice -- I know that I would have appreciated getting this clock as a gift. And if your chess player is a student you really cannot do better.

The clock came packaged very nicely and included batteries. The instructions were clear and setup was a breeze. There are lots of games pre programmed into the clock so you have plenty of options to keep things fun. The display is clear but not backlit so keep in mind you’ll need good lighting to use it. The buttons are crisp and the paddle that shifts the time between players has a nice soft feel to it. Overall great clock for the price and I would highly recommend it.
