The Diaxi Chessboard integrates the patent approved Diaxi Hinge. Easy to fold and store, this board allows for the board to fold in half with the playing surface inward without unsightly hinges or distractions in game play. Squares of black graphite pattern and white print overlay an aluminum composite panel frame. The exterior and edge of the board is bound in padded Moroccan leather style material. The playing surface is high grade acrylic surrounded by a red narrow band accenting the playing area. A composite panel adds to the board's strength and integrity.

The unique custom hinge is 316 stainless steel with brass collars. The Diaxi hinge has been designed in this instance to be hand operated with movement restrictions to 90 degrees. In the locked position it is an unobtrusive, hidden hinge during play. Four additional brass corners help protect the board for long term storage.
