The Executive pieces are for the player who wants an affordable set of detailed Staunton style chessmen for display or frequent games. Demanding collectors would look for more detail, but players looking for more style and detail than basic wood pieces will enjoy this set.

It's comfortably sized at 3 7/8", essentially the standard size for tournament play. The extra weight and 2 extra queens are bonus features nearly every chess player will love.

The pieces are handcrafted in India from rosewood (dark) and boxwood (light).

the pieces look very good and we enjoy playing them - the wood is very solid and the finish is very well done. I can't give it the best rating though because, unfortunately, one of the white pawns arrived with the collar broken. So I give a 2 rating.
