The chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish. The design of the Professional Series Chess set has been heavily influenced by the Jaques of London Hartston design from the mid-1890s, a period widely regarded by Chess collectors as having the finest Staunton Chess Sets ever produced.
