We bought this set for our son who has been playing for a couple years on a very cheap set.
It arrived promptly and in perfect condition.
The woods are truly lovely on both the pieces and the board.
It does not look magnetic, but is, and the magnetic pieces stay well in place even when the board is strongly bumped.
We love that the individual pieces each have their own snug spot inside the board's case.
The attractive case cover protects the board from damage.

Bought as a Christmas present for my husband. The quality of the board was lovely and he particularly liked the case, which protects it from dents and scratches when traveling. The magnetic force is just enough to prevent accidental displacement of pieces (say when - unnamed - people wander off and leave it on the sofa with important positions that are being studied set up!) without being distracting/annoying when in use.

I was a little wary about a magnetic board but this one looks great and the magnets are the right size. The pieces themselves are carved well. No noticable mold or cut lines. My only complaint (and it could be a good thing depending) would be that the pieces are a little hard to get out of the foam.
