The 64 squares are bounded with a brown wood inlay. Noticed immediately are the knight horses alert stance, ears perked, with flowing detailed manes. Each piece is turned, handcarved, and polished, then finished in soft felt for ultra-smooth play.

Wide bases and quadruple weighted pieces provide unparalleled stability.

    I was hoping the padauk pieces were a little more red but when I set up all the pieces it was just as beautiful as the pics on the site. I love it.
