Okay, I'll admit it. I don't actually have a chess set at home. I mainly wanted a white rook because of a book I read in which it was integral to the plot. They didn't have the rook available at the time, so I got the white knight. It's so cute. But now I've finally gotten the rook, and can I say that I really like the style of this set! My *only* complaint (and it's just a dumb nitpick, really) is that whatever coating or varnish is on the marble isn't quite as smooth as I was hoping it would be. But I'm pretty sure that's just a manufacturing thing. The pieces look wonderful and it's really cool that they offer you a free "how to play" booklet with your purchase. Maybe I'll actually learn to play someday! Also, they ship your order super quick and it arrived very quickly as well. Excellent service yet again!
