This African big 5 chess set is extremely special. The craftsmanship is superb, the detail beautiful and the overall look and feel is tremendous. I have received so many compliments and can't recommend it enough. The people at ChessHouse were highly professional, helpful and truly cared.

Excellent customer service and follow-up!!!!
Very nice box. Clean lines, nice clasp, interior lined nicely. I’m using as a coffee/tea condiment holder and it’s perfect.
These boards are just right for some small wooden sets I was given for our club.
Lovely pieces, if a bit light for my taste. Great finish--not too shiny but smooth enough to repel finger dirt. Horses are particularly pretty--some sets have horses that look like they just ran a long race. I would say the K and Q are too similar. I had a beginner get confused by them the other night. If the Q were a bit shorter...
The best part of the board is its attractive and plain surface. Its inner workings, however, leave a lot to be desired.
Seems to me that if they're charging so much, they could put a Bluetooth sender in the board that reaches farther than 10'. My phone is good for 40'; why don't they put a better unit in?
The board should have NiCad batteries or some rechargeable ones, or at least ordinary AA cells. What if you're playing where there's no power nearby?
Next, the documentation is in German English and very clumsy and difficult to understand. It should come with a First Steps or a Intro for Dummies.
Finally, the software that recognizes the pieces is laughably bad.
To sum up, they fulfill their promises, but only to the lowest level.
I really like the flex pad board compared with my old vinyl board. The bag is great and hold alot of stuff and the pieces in the set are nice and heavier than expected.
