3 3/4" Inspiration Chess Pieces - Triple Weight

As always a quality set. Good feel, good looking.. I always send a set along with chessboards I make.. they have always been bought here.

Arrived promptly, pieces feel nice. Good value for the money

This set is just slightly larger than a standard tournament set but it's really outstanding because of that. The pieces are hefty enough and the design of each individual piece is really beautiful...perfectly chunky knights! And I just bought my 2nd set to fit a new, heavy flex pad board someone gave me!

This was my first purchase of chess pieces (I had made my own chess board, with 2" squares, and just needed the player pieces). I live in Toronto, Canada and the order process was smooth and efficient. I received the set on a timely basis. I am very pleased with the overall quality, feel and look of the set. To my eye, they are very nicely sized for 2" squares (I spent time researching the sizing of chess pieces for 2" squares, checking measurements versus my chess board, etc., before deciding on this set). A minor flaw - some of the pad bases on the pawns are mis-glued and slightly off-level, so the piece sits on a slight angle, but I still think the set is good value. The manufacturer just needs to pay a bit more attention to quality control on attaching and leveling the base pads. The price is quite reasonable for this set, but the shipping and duties costs to Canada will approximately triple the all-in price.

One of the pawns had a felt base that was punched through, leaving it shorter than the others. The black Queen's finial came loose from her crown, and I had to glue it back in. Other than that, great design and feel. Love the heavy weight. 5 stars otherwise.
