Product Details

With this original "touch sensing" feature, the Chronos clock only gets better! It takes only the lightest contact with one of two sensors instead of the standard buttons. This feature is truly original when it comes to chess clocks. Blitz players will love its convenience and speed potential.

There is no need for the sound of a button being pressed, since the large LCD, optional lights and optional adjustable-pitch sound do the trick.

The Chronos is the most popular clock - it is the most durable and practical timer. Housed in a strong metal case, the electronics in this clock offer the ultimate in accuracy and programmability. This clock is suitable for slow and fast players alike. It will handle long, multiple time controls as well as any fast blitz, or "lightning" setting. Four anti-slide rubbers keep the clock in place and its low profile prevents it from tipping. Most importantly, the LCD display is large and clear. It also features optional lights and sound. The Chronos has approximately 70 pre-programmed and 12 user-defined time controls.

I would just like to keep it real: the Chronos Touch chess clock is NOT perfect._x000D_
_x000D_
It IS possible that the clock will not register a touch especially in the middle of a frantic Blitz game. It could happen for a number of reasons: sweat, temperature or speed._x000D_

Double-tapping the sensor is not a guarantee that the turn will be ended especially when both players are moving very quickly. This might eve

worth the price!!! October 3, 2009

Used an import previously but with lightning chess, it couldn't withstand the punishment and broke quickly. The Chronos is like a little bunker with buttons. Need to take time to learn to set up desired presets, but this clock is worth it. Don't waste money on a cheap import when you can get an American-made, reliable product.
