Question: is it magnetic
Answer: Yes, it is magnetic, however the magnets are very weak. They are strong enough to steady the pieces, but not enough to invert the board or tilt it 90 degrees.
Question: how can I play chess w/o the tutor on?
Answer: 1) Go to the Menu and Select TUTOR
2) Press "E" to switch between on and off (1 and 0).
