Can it be used with a mac book pro?

Frank, so sorry it has taken so long for me to reply, I was checking in with our supplier about this question. This was their reply: There is currently no chess app for the MacBook Pro that is compatible with our ChessLink, but only for iPhones and iPad devices. However, I am optimistic that we will have an offer for Mac computers in a few months.
