Since the Centaur battery is not advertised as replaceable, what can the user do once its battery's life is over ?
It's practically as if saying that the Centaur is as disposable as its battery (?!) . Please excuse me if I'm misunderstanding.

Hugo, thanks so much for checking in! So far, from communication with DGT we have found out that the battery has been tested and is said to be able to perform past the warranty period. We have been told that the battery is indeed replaceable, however, if the battery is replaced outside of an authorized service center before the warranty has expired that would void the warranty. We are waiting to hear from them as to how a customer would eventually, if needed, obtain a new battery and what type of battery it is.
