DGT does not offer or plan to offer any lithium replacement batteries for the Centaur; however, the unit can be used when plugged in. So, assuming the battery fails to hold a charge after 10 years of continual use, you can still keep it going with the power adapter.
Beyond this, there have been discussions on the Chess.com forum about opening up a Centaur. Someone did this and noted that the Lithium battery is not hard wired and the battery specs are listed on the battery itself, meaning that it's possible a suitable replacement could be found and swapped without any soldering required.
