No, this product (Consisting of Exclusive Board, Luxe Cabinet, ChessVolt Battery and ChessLink) does not have onboard engines or the ability to add engines.
Think of the Exclusive board as an input device (like a keyboard) and ChessLink as the USB / bluetooth connection to a device. You still need to connect to a smart device (Android / IOS) or computer in order to use it. Depending on the app or program that you use, you will have different features / engines, etc available to you. This chess board is designed for quality and enjoyable play.
