DGT boards would allow you to connect to a computer and play on chess.com through DGT's free Live Chess Software. The board itself does not have LEDs, but you would get the computer's move from the computer screen, or a clock (like DGT 3000 or Pi), or spoken via voice (from the computer).
The pieces have electronics in them that allow the board to completely recognize what piece they are, which allows for the most natural game play experience (no pressing down). We have a few different piece options, but there isn't an easy way to use your own pieces.
