When castling in a chess 960 game it can sometimes get confusing.
I am sometimes not sure how the computer is castling because of the different set up. Is there a simple rule when castling in 960 mode? I did not see any details in the long version of the manual. This chess set is designed for quality and enjoyable play.

Question: I've had 3 electronic chess sets go bad on me, mainly by refusing to make moves, or by attempting impossible moves.
Answer: To answer your question specifically related to this product, in all the years we've been selling the King Performance, 95 - 99% of the time when we receive a complaint about the chess computer acting 'off', failing to make a move or making illegal moves, it turned out to be user error OR (in the case of a connection to a chess server or app), it was an issue with the server or app that was demonstrably common to that server or app and not the product.

Question: I always wanted to learn chess. Will this work with my Mac computer?
Answer: Currently the King Performance does not connect to any Mac running OS Big Sur and newer.

Question: I suspect you would have already mentioned it if the game had it, but would it happen to have famous games by GM's.
Answer: No, but you can import games of PGN format into the unit and move through it in a stepwise fashion.

Question: how good is the king performanc chess set?
Answer: Hi Rick,
That is difficult to answer, but it offers quite a range of settings to adjust the playing style, strength, etc. In terms of playing strength compared to say the DGT Centaur, it seems the Centaur generally wins out, but the Performance is know to have a very 'human' playing style. Does this answer your question sufficiently? -

Answer: Sinisa, we were told it is likely to exceed 2450 ELO but it isn't even being produced yet so we don't know all the details so that might change.
