The King Performance can be a great option for teaching chess but with a caveat. The Pros include name identification of openings, Info screen that provides analysis on current point position, best move calculation, as well as a host of game modes and tweaks that can be dialed in to a particular players level. The computer's playing style can be tweaked as well.
The caveat? If you plan to teach a lot through positional play (ie setting up positions), you may find setting up those positions takes a little bit longer than units offering full piece recognition (like the Genius Exclusive or Chess Classics Exclusive) where you can essentially put the pieces on the board, push a few buttons and you're ready to play. This electronic chess computer is designed for quality and enjoyable play.
