Jeff, thanks so much for checking in. Yes, they now have really nice felts and I haven't noticed any issues with the weights. It is a great buy for sure.
I read in the description for the 3 3/4" Executive Staunton II Chess Pieces, Black and White that the quality has.
Improved. I had an older set where the weights were not flush on my set and some of the piece wobbled. Also the paper felt were often off center. You state that this Executive II has improved this. How would you describe the bottoms? Are they totally flat now? Is the felt still paper, or other? I'm interested in getting this set if it is indeed an improvement over the one I had about 5 years ago. Thank you so much! This chess set is designed for quality and enjoyable play.
