To answer your question specifically related to this product, in all the years we've been selling the King Performance, 95 - 99% of the time when we receive a complaint about the chess computer acting 'off', failing to make a move or making illegal moves, it turned out to be user error OR (in the case of a connection to a chess server or app), it was an issue with the server or app that was demonstrably common to that server or app and not the product.
