The chess board that is recommended for these pieces is one with a square of 1.57 inches. It would be perfectly fine to have a chess board with a square size of 1.75 inches or even two inches. If you get any larger than two inches in square size it will start to look more spread out. But there really is no limit in square size if you don't mind the look. Since your board is over 21 inches square and the tallest piece in this set which is the king is only just over 3 1/2 inches by most standards that board is too large.
