I ordered three sets of armies Natural, Black and Red. The Red army’s knight has an imperfection hole in it with shoddy injection process. This should have been quality rejected but still shipped. Loss of confidence in this product. I thought the Kings would read House of Staunton but nope and the triple weights feel double weighted. Over all not what I expected and thus my disappointment. The red knight injection imperfection is a head shaker that will only garner questions with players looking at it and I’ll always say ordered it at Chesshouse and good luck with your orders because obviously some quality QC person there needs glasses.
Just got my 3 3/4" Commander Staunton Chess Pieces… Red And black. You get 17 pieces (and extra Queen) Pieces are weighted perfectly, te red could be brighter as it looks more like maroon. Still pieces look amazing, Awesome job ChessHouse. Just waiting for my board to arrive and I’m all set.
Super happy to have this high quality plastic set. I have a couple of expensive "luxury" sets, but in so many situations, I don't feel safe bringing them out. This set gives me the look at feel of a better set, but it's plastic, it's virtually indestructible, and was a great price. I went with the Natural and Red pairing. The red color is more subdued than a fire-engine red, giving it the look of a Rosewood and Boxwood set. Well felted and weighted. See photos.
This is exactly what I was looking for in a big heavy set with wide bases. And goes perfectly with the flex pad club board. a perfect combination.
These chess pieces are larger and have nice meaty rooks! Well weighted and feel substantial in your hands. Thumbs up, great chess pieces! 👍
