The right size for the right board

My grandfather made me a chess table and the squares are small so it has never had it own set of players. The chess Pieces complement the table.

Heavy, beautiful, exactly what we were looking for.

These are small but heavy weight pieces that are beautifully designed. They are exactly what we were looking for as a gift for my college age son.

Perfect size

Perfect size for my board - I have been looking for a long time. Nice design, finished well and heavy. Exactly what I wanted.

A very nice set for a display board

This is the ideal set for a stone chessboard I acquired at an estate sale. I had some trouble finding pieces of a size compatible with the board. Paul of Chesshouse gave me some suggestions, including this one. I like both the appearance and the weighting of the pieces. They do not have the issue with the easily visible seams that a previous reviewer indicated. The seams are there, but barely visible.

Nice, but...

I like the pieces and will not return them. You can see molding lines right down the middle. They are less obvious given the linear designed texture that runs on every piece. This is most pronounced on the pawns and bishops. The picture I took is a close up. You can see an asymmetry. Honestly, I didn't notice the asymmetry until I took the close up.
