Where do you ship?

We ship within the U.S. and to more than 64 countries each year. Shipping rates are shown when you checkout. Duties are extra and vary widely by region, so plan ahead! We wish we could make those go away for you but we believe in being legal and ethical so we declare value of goods appropriately.

Australians! You are currently our number 2 destination outside of the United States, ordering more than our neighbors to the north!

 

When do you ship?

The same day if it’s before 3pm PST in Lynden, WA. A handful of special products are fulfilled from warehouses in other locations, indicated by “Available” instead of “In Stock” near the Add to Cart button.

In Stock = ships immediately
Available = make take more than a day
Unavailable = we are working on getting more – you can be notified when in stock

How do you ship?

Safely, with care - and special packing methods we’ve developed over the years.  One of these is wrapping books with extra care.

We ship with UPS, Post Office, primarily and you’ll see various shipping options at checkout that offer overnight or standard shipping to arrive when you need it.

 

What happens if something goes wrong with delivery, etc.?

The friendly team here in Lynden, WA has amazing problem solving skills. Not to worry friend =)  We aim to delight. Plus we back it up with a solid guarantee - you have 90 days to change your mind, return, and receive a refund.

 

When will you have this item in stock and available?

Items sell out often. If we expect them again, the product is still visible on the store and you may be “Emailed when in stock”. Click that option and enter your email. If we have an estimated arrival date, we’ll show that on the page.

 

How do I qualify for Free Shipping?

Most orders of $75 or more after any discounts, shipping to the U.S. 48 states qualify for the free shipping offer.  Please provide a street address, not Po box.

 

Can I buy cheaper on Amazon?

Sometimes yes, but you’ll miss out on the experience of ordering from Chess House, plus the peace of mind that if you need parts or help years from now, we’re just as available by phone or email to resolve and keep your chess set in working order with correct replacement pieces.

Most of our items aren’t available on Amazon because they require special handling to make them uniquely better for you.

If we are slightly higher priced in some cases, just know that you’re money is promoting chess in homes and schools and helping us serve you!

 

Does this product have a Manufacturer's Warranty?

Very few products come with a manufacturer's warranty. However, we believe in taking care of our customers and automatically warranty products for 1 year so you have extra peace of mind. Beyond that period, we're always here to assist in any way we can. For example, if you purchased a chess set at Chess House and need replacement pieces, just reach out to the team.

 

Do you have benefits for Schools?

There are bulk discounts, recommended products, and special discounts to help schools that are available to registered schools. Your school can purchase with a PO and we are in most ISD databases to make it easier for you to make your purchase with Chess House.
