Beautiful set and board

Great, great set. Easy to maneuver and goid weight to the pieces.

Be warned: it's a large set. You'll need a good sized table to play on especially if, like me, you want space for a glass of good wine alongside when you play.

Customer service was also outstanding. I double ordered by mistake. The person I spoke to - yes, a real live young man - fixed my problem immediately.

4" Burnt Grandmaster Chess Pieces

This is the second set of these pieces my family has ordered. My son bought one last year, and I bought one a few weeks ago. The pieces are beautiful and well made and I know we will get years of enjoyment from them. I would like to make one comment. My son’s set had each piece nicely nested in styrofoam such that none of the pieces could touch each other or get damaged during shipment. With my set, all of the white pieces were placed in a plastic bag with no protection such that they hit each other during shipping. The same with the dark pieces. While I don’t see any obvious damage, it is a better practice to nest each piece individually to protect them. You can see the difference in the two pictures.
