These chessmen are known for their play in the 2019 St. Louis Rapid and Blitz, the fourth Super GM tournament held in Saint Louis. It featured ten of the best players in the world including Magnus Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana, Sergey Karjakin, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Richard Rapport, Levon Aronian, Yu Yangyi, Leinier Dominguez, Ding Liren, and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.
The chessmen are luxury handcrafted in ebony and boxwood by some of the world's best wood chess craftsmen in India. They are polished to a handsome finish that highlights the authentic woodgrain. This means you can take great pride in owning a historically significant set that's well made.

Quality chess set at a reasonable price. Shipping was very fast and I was really impressed how each pieces was individually bubble wrapped and double boxed for safety and security. Each chess piece arrived in pristine condition. The ebony and boxwood finish is excellent without a single blemish. For the price this is one of the best 3.75” chess sets I have found. I will definitely buy again.
I received my order a few days ago and have played quite a few games since. The pieces have a nice weighted feel to it for both colors. I bought these to replace the cheap plastic pieces on my DGT Centaur. Adding a simple special sticker available online to the bottom of each piece it allows them to register with the DGT electronic board.

Pieces are as advertised. Beautiful wood and craftsmanship. Took well to RFID chips and the 55mm squares.
4 stars dueto anal nit. The white pieces are not weight matched to the black pieces. No effect but instantly noticeable. With artificial weighting added I expected similarity for my $400. But maybe nobody does this any more. As chess's house is a middle man that buys and resells , notice of this could have been a simple and nice piece of value added by the store to the customer. But again who cares about this other than me?!
I'm keeping them. They are beautiful feel excellent. Recommend the store and pieces. Will buy from again.
