About The Queen's Gambit Chess Set Antique Chess Pieces with Mastellone Italian QG Board

The TV series Queen's Gambit portrayed the art of chess remarkably well. Here is a pairing of the Queen's Gambit chess board as featured in the series along with a 4" antique style set of exquisite pieces!

Smooth contours on these cheerful retro chessmen speak elegance and the felt bases protect the board surface. The standard size 3 3/4" chess pieces are great for a casual game, and most certainly a tasteful talking piece. Fun for the collector. A delight to play.

  • King height: 4"
  • King base: 1 1/2"
  • King weight: 2.1 oz.

The Queen's Gambit Chess Board is an exact replica of the board displayed in the finals of the USSR 1968 Championship match in Moscow between Beth Harmon and Vasily Borgov.

Made by Italian master wood artisans, this board features light Ash root and black-dyed Tulipier highlighted with an interior border parkay inlay.

For anyone who was captivated by the Netflix Series, this board is a reminder of the heights one can achieve when they dare to pursue their dreams.

  • 2 1/8" (5cm) squares

This chess set is beautiful. I gave it to my son for his 40th birthday, and he loves it. I do think the website could use some polishing - I saw typos (pieces spelled peices!) and it is rather confusing to order what you want.
