This 15" square storage board boasts a high gloss finish and is made of maple and walnut. The inside is lined with velour and offers separate slots for each of your chess pieces. The bottom of the board is also lined with velour to avoid scratching your playing surface. The beautiful hardware is made of solid brass.

Good Board, well made and good looking

My wife and I have recently got into chess and decided to buy this board so we could play offline, only complaint is it does not come with a set of pieces and so I had to order that seperately after the board arrived. I just assumed that boards, especially those with internal piece storage would come with a set, maybe my error but the cost led me to believe a set was included. Otherwise its very nicely made and looks good.

Very pleased with high quality board with good fit and finish, including properly-sized side drawers. 'King Arthur'-themed chess piece set (bought separately) also looks as good as--or better than--online illo.) Only gripe: Exterior of shipping box was plastered with several prominent "Chess House" stickers, which spoiled it as a surprise gift.
