Here's a fantastic economical full size wooden chess set that stores the detailed pieces inside. The chess set has everything the beginning or accomplished player needs to enjoy many games of chess without spending big money.

The club style Staunton pieces are traditional boxwood (light players) and shishamwood (dark players). Each piece is stored in it's own slot inside the box. Coordinates are printed along the edges of the board. The storage compartments are felt covered plastic.
