In short, this is a great set. It looks beautiful, and I enjoy playing online so much more with this set in front of me. One of the pawns came in damaged, but Paul from Chesshouse sent a quick replacement.

In short, it is hard to beat the quality of these pieces - there's a reason why FIDE uses these pieces for its top-tier tournaments. Sure, it's a bit pricey. But this is the top of the line; you won't be left wanting of getting another DGT set.

Chess pieces are great and work well on the DGT BT board. Outstanding service and support by ChessHouse.

The Official 2013 FIDE DGT chess pieces are gorgeous and wonderful to play with, in my humble opinion. Online pictures do not do these pieces justice. When the pieces are paired with a proper wooden DGT e-board and the play area is lit properly, the whole chess set becomes an "eye candy" which makes chess study or play even more enjoyable at extended periods of time. The longer I stared at them, the more that my subjective brain appreciated the new design.

After I reveled with the pieces over a few games, I could confirm that the weighted DGT pieces added to the satisfaction of handling quality wooden pieces - whether you slid the pieces across the board or lift-and-placed them on their squares. There was a tactile difference when compared to the stock classic, unweighted DGT wood pieces.

These pieces do not disappoint.

I like this set and it complements the DGT Board. A bit pricy but so is the board.
