I didn’t notice in the sample picture that the brown pawns were a different shape from the brown pawns in my set. Also the white pawns were sized slightly different.
These were the exact pieces and size advertised, came clean and packed well with no damage. Very pleased.
Once again, I’m reminded to read and measure carefully. While the chess piece (a brown rook for the Isle of Lewis chess set ) is high-quality and will make a lovely knickknack, it’s way too big for my board. Dang it, I thought I’d finally found it, but the search continues!
