Almost perfect

I was very pleased that you could match the King of such an old chess set. The original King had been chewed up by our dear Black lab dog. That the finish on the piece is a matt black instead of glossy is really no problem as it will remind us of him. But you should know there is a slight difference. Thank you!

Be careful before you buy

I would warn anyone planning to buy these pieces to carefully measure your own pieces and compare them to the dimensions listed in the description. I quickly eyeballed a measurement of my own king to the measurements listed here and made an ass of myaeld and assumed everything else would be the same but the pieces i ordered were not the same yellow hue as my orginal set. Overall not satisfied with the purchase but I can only blame myself.

Just What I Needed

I had bought a plastic set in St. Louis which has always been a favorite. But a couple of pawns developed rattles (from the weights). I stumbled onto the info about what set it really was (the older Ultimate plastic set) and was amazed to find that Chess House sells the replacement pieces for it! They arrived quickly and were exactly correct and with no flaws. No more rattling weights for me! I'm definitely a happy customer!
